This position requires 2-5 years of leadership experience in a multi-location, youth serving organization. The ideal candidate will have experience leading the operations of an organization to include strategic planning and execution of strategic plans. The ideal candidate will have applicable experience in the financial, human resource, and operational functions of a multi-million dollar organization. Main Responsibilities: --- Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the operations of all Club locations and youth development staff in alignment with the mission and core values of BGCCVA --- Grow and develop new high-potential programs such as STEM, GPTTO, Academic mentoring, summer reading, mentoring programs, and career development programs in accordance to the boards 5-year strategic plan. --- Oversee community engagement efforts to include maintaining existing relationships; develop support for new program partnerships, resource community committees on youth development needs, etc. --- Set comprehensive goals and develop metrics for performance and growth of each Club as well as the overall Organization --- Establish effective internal and external standard operating procedures that promote company culture, vision, and mission --- Collaborate internal resources to achieve desired outcomes for projects, tasks, and initiatives Organization-wide --- Develop, implement, and maintain a program dashboard of high-impact programs that meet priority outcomes for all age groups at all Clubs --- Retain top-level relationships internally and externally and ensure proper engagement of direct reports with appropriate contacts in schools, governments, community, etc. --- Attend Unit Board meetings with staff colleagues to assist in operations-related reporting and planning as it pertains to programs, facilities, and operations --- Resource of the Unit Boards to ensure a full board with an engaged, diverse group of industry professionals --- Support resource development efforts and strategic resource development planning with the partnership of the Chief Development Officer --- Manage the capital improvement 5-year plan in coordination with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) --- Assist with the prioritizing and development of budget and annual creation of the operating plan --- Manage overall Club operating budgets and meet regularly with the CFO, report regularly to the Finance and Exec committee, and develop plans to align with BGCCVA operating budget and 5-year strategic plan --- Head creation of the next strategic plan for all geographies --- Lead and participate in state-wide Boys & Girls Club initiatives and projects --- Attend appropriate BGCA events to further enhance BGCA/BGCCVA relationship --- Represent the organization at internal and external program-related, strategic planning, and fundraising events --- Engage with local governments during the fundraising process --- Take on public-facing, organization-wide duties in engagement, Club-involvement in special events, and group presentations --- Evaluate and oversee successful transition to new staffing/volunteer structure to increase public engagement in programs and enhance outcomes for youth --- Oversee the training and development for all Youth Development staff --- Assist in recruiting and development of high-potential youth development staff and maintain proper staffing to ensure optimal member Club experience --- Oversee all hiring and performance evaluations of Youth Development Staff --- Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics in correlation to direct observation --- Oversee organization-wide in-Club volunteer engagement strategy --- Train YPQ Team and Unit Directors of YPQI and program priority areas --- Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected --- Participate in and lead functions of the Capital Campaign as it relates to Operations and facilities Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: --- Five years of successful program, training and human resources leadership of multi-location organization, including multiple youth center direct reports --- Direct management of 200 Average Daily Attendance youth center facility --- Budget creation and management of multi-location organization --- Volunteer program management leadership experience --- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a diverse group of key staff in geographically diverse environments --- Successful mentorship and professional training of multiple professional youth workers --- Demonstrated successful management of a corporate board of directors committee (facilities, program, etc.) --- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving --- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills --- Demonstrable competency in strategic thinking and business development in alignment with organization mission --- Physical requirements include ability to stand for long periods of time, ability to lift up to 50 lbs and ability to react quickly to physical safety issues as they arise Education and Certifications: --- Bachelors degree required. Masters Degree preferred. Professional training equivalent in a related field or experience accepted --- Boys & Girls Clubs of America Program Trainer Certification preferred --- Youth Program Quality Assessment Certification preferred --- Youth Worker Methods Trainer Certification preferred --- Youth Development training, certification, education or equivalent practical experience required
