a better future. BACKGROUND: Founded in 1933, the International
Rescue Committee is a leading, non-sectarian, non-profit
organization providing emergency relief, protection, rehabilitation
assistance , resettlement services, and advocacy for refugees and
victims of oppression or violent conflict . Domestically, our 29
offices across the U.S. ensure new arrivals have food, shelter, and
clothing, and work with refugees to help them gain
self-sufficiency. Overview: The Tutor Operations intern will have a
transformative impact on refugee and immigrant youth in Richmond by
expanding our office's capacity to engage volunteer youth tutors.
This position will ensure volunteer tutors are connected to
trainings, resources, and our volunteer management platform
equipping them with the tools they need to be successful and will
also develop and implement recruitment strategies for next
semester's volunteer tutors. SCOPE OF WORK: As the tutor operations
intern, you would assist the tutoring program coordinator with many
tasks related to the operational and programmatic sign of the
tutoring program. You Will be in communications with. the tutors on
behalf of the coordinator in order to assist with the
administrative requirements of the program. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor tutor case notes and send reminders. Enter case notes onto
ETO and tracker spreadsheet. Coordinate with tutors Sharing and
collecting feedback surveys as well as inputting data. Preparing
for next tutoring cycle: tutor and student recruitment assistance ,
trainings, plannings, and survey preparations. Managing Golden
(volunteer engagement platform) hour recordings Create Canva
project. for communications and surveys. Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS: Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate
degree or recent graduate Excellent written and verbal
communication skills Experi ence with tutoring, teaching, or
mentoring is a plus Detail-oriented, organized and reliable
Comfortable taking leadership role as appropriate While a personal
vehicle is not , it would be helpful on occasion. Proficien cy is
Spani sh, Dari, or Pashto is a plus This position is unpaid and
