Title: Assistant Attorney General, Education Section State Role
Title: Assistant Attorney General Hiring Range: Commensurate with

Job Duties Together with other Section attorneys, the attorney will
provide legal services to the Virginia Department of Education, the
State Council of Higher Education for Virginia, Virginia Museum of
Fine Arts, and Gunston Hall. Additionally, this individual will
provide other legal services to the Commonwealth as directed the
Office of the Attorney General. Some travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications The successful candidate will have excellent
analytical abilities and written and oral communication skills and
be able to respond to legal requests in a timely fashion. Excellent
interpersonal skills are also required. High level organizational
skills and an ability to manage many projects simultaneously and
work under pressure are required. Admission to the Virginia Bar is
required before beginning employment. Additional Considerations
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the
general practice of law, particularly those candidates with
experience in the representation of governmental agencies or in
