Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking professional Hardware Design Engineers experienced
in complex, high-speed design, with a focus on Intel and ARM based
networking platforms. In this position, your primary role will be
detailed motherboard/platform design, but you will be involved in
all phases of the product life cycle, including architecture,
detailed design, validation, and manufacturing/operations support.
You will get to work with the latest technologies and help
define/design creative solutions to meet customer requirements. You
will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams in the US
and Israel. The candidate must be self-motivated, self-disciplined,
willing to learn, and ready to have fun as we take Silicom to the
7+ years experience in designing complex system hardware based on
microprocessors (ARM, SOC, x86).
Strong leadership skills. Comfortable being a project lead and
leading a small team of engineers.
Hands-on experience in various I/O bus interfaces including USB
(2.0 and 3.0), PCI Express, Ethernet, SerDes, RS232, UART, SPI, I2C
and DDR4, eMMC memories.
Experience in DC-DC converter and switching regulator design (Buck,
Boost and LDOs)
Proficient with CAD tools including Cadence Orcad & Allegro -
Comfortable in a lab environment using oscilloscopes, logic
analyzers, and other common test equipment
Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals (analog/digital design,
signal/power integrity, etc..)
Experience designing high volume products and dealing with contract
manufacturers is desired
Experience with FPGA/CPLD programmable logic is desired
Experience developing hardware and system level specifications is
Experience developing hardware verification and functional test
plans is desired
Excellent team player with strong communication skills (written and
verbal) are essential.
Bachelors or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer
