Job Description Job Description Job Title: Electrician Job Description Join our team as an Electrician at either the Charlottesville-UVA Hotel & Conference Center or Lynchburg sites. We offer flexible working hours from Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. We have multiple opportunities available. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial settings. Ensure all installations are compliant with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations. Utilize testing devices for circuit testing and troubleshooting to ensure system safety and compatibility. Proficiently use hand and power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment. Work with and install multiple sizes of conduit, including bending and running conduit. Interpret and work from blueprint drawings. Lead small crews if applying for the Lead Mechanic role. Essential Skills 2-4 years of commercial construction electrical experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings. Proficiency in electrical system installation and maintenance. Adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC). Skilled in circuit testing and troubleshooting. Experience with three-phase power systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications 5 years of experience for Mechanic Level (Journeyman level). Ability to lead apprentices. Strong team collaboration skills. Attention to detail to ensure precision in installations and repairs. Strong problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Work Environment Work may take place at any of our job sites, and you must be able to work in varying temperatures and all weather conditions. Our standard hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though hours can vary. Punctuality, strong people skills, and the ability to work well with others are crucial. Reliable transportation and a positive attitude are also required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lynchburg, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
