Level 3 Job Description As a Controls Engineer Level 3, you will be
an expert level member of the controls engineering team,
responsible for leading complex projects and providing technical
expertise and guidance. You will oversee the design, development,
and implementation of advanced control systems, ensuring compliance
with industry standards and best practices. This role requires
extensive experience in control system engineering and strong
leadership skills. Responsibilities Lead the design and development
of complex control systems for industrial applications. Provide
technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project
teams. Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to define
project requirements and specifications. Develop control system
architectures and design solutions to meet project objectives.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of control systems,
ensuring performance and reliability. Oversee system installation,
startup, and commissioning activities. Stay current with emerging
technologies and industry trends in control system engineering.
Essential Skills 5 years of experience in control system design,
development, and implementation. Master level ability to create and
work with a wide variety of PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder
logic, structured text). Strong understanding of control system
theory and advanced control algorithms. Proven track record of
successfully leading complex projects from concept to completion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to
collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external
partners. Master level understanding and abilities with schematic
software such as Eplan, SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD, etc.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in PLC
Troubleshooting Skills. Experience with Electrical Schematics.
Ability to work with 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems. Proficiency
in CAD Software. Experience in Electrical Installation. Skilled in
Troubleshooting Industrial Automation Equipment. PLC Programming
Experience. SCADA Experience. Knowledge of Electrical / Electronic
Systems. Experience with High Voltage Systems. 5 years of
experience in industrial/manufacturing automation. Ability to lead
projects autonomously. Ability to design electrical panels with 3
years of experience. Experience in PLC programming on new
manufacturing lines and machines, with Allen-Bradley preferred.
Work Environment Core working hours are from 7am to 4pm with a
1-hour lunch break. Flexibility is provided for family, medical,
and other reasons. The work is predominantly office-based (90%),
with occasional site visits for troubleshooting and commissioning
(roughly 10%). You will have the opportunity to design systems from
scratch, selecting new components and equipment regularly. Job Type
& Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of
Covington, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is
$110000.00 - $140000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some
