needed to build your future career. In the role of Wind Technician
Intern , you will support the safe operation and maintenance of
wind turbines, assist with scheduled maintenance and
troubleshooting, and help ensure reliable wind farm operations.
It’s an excellent job for people who enjoy hands-on technical work,
working outdoors, and learning about renewable energy systems.
Placement Details: This is an 3 month placement starting in June
2026, located in New Creek, WV. What you will do: Work under the
supervision of a Lead Technician, Operations Coordinator, or Plant
Manager to safely execute assigned tasks. Follow safe work
practices, including electrical safety, work at heights, hazardous
energy control, confined space procedures, and cargo management.
Adhere to company safety standards and help maintain a strong
safety culture. Complete maintenance activities according to
defined schedules, written procedures, and verbal instructions.
Assist in troubleshooting equipment using structured
problem-solving methods. Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters,
SCADA systems, and technical drawings to support electrical and
mechanical troubleshooting. Support scheduled facility maintenance
conducted safely and completed on time, ensure accurate time
reporting and completion of maintenance records, Support site techs
with daily operations of the wind power plant, Participate in
special projects assigned by site management. Support technical or
safety investigations and complete required reporting. Perform
daily data entry and maintain accurate records in the Maintenance
Management System (Maximo). Preferred Qualifications: Basic
knowledge of hand tools Basic knowledge of electrical testing tools
Basic knowledge of digital equipment Basic knowledge of Microsoft
office software Scope/Dimensions Ensure the safe and reliable
operation of the facility equipment Expected to work with
independence on standard assignments Contacts (Working
Relationships) Reports to Plant Manager Collaborates with and
supports responses to various groups (ex. Engineering) Knowledge,
Skills & Abilities: Willing to learn and take direction Sound
interpersonal skills and willingness to integrate into a team
environment Sound motivation with positive attitude Ability to
successfully participate in all training courses, including but not
limited to First Aid, CPR and AED, climb and rescue training, and
confined space training Who you are: You are currently enrolled in
a full time post-secondary program studying Wind Energy, Renewable
Energy, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial
Maintenance, or related Engineering/Technical disciplines and will
be returning to full time school immediately following the work
term. Effective and professional communication both verbal and
written with ability to communicate with all levels within the
organization. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Ability
to work in a team environment as well as independently. Effective
time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to
detail. Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite
(Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to actively and
consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity,
Respect, Inclusion, High Performance). Working Conditions: Field
based role, located in New Creek, WV Relocation assistance is not
provided. Role may require participation in an on-call rotation
(24/7) to respond to site emergencies or maintenance needs on a
scheduled basis. Work will primarily take place at a wind power
facility , including inside wind turbine nacelles. Ability to work
in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions, including
heat, cold, and wind. Flexible work hours may be required to
support operational or emergency response needs. Please note that

Requirements (Field) include but are not limited to: Balancing,
bending and stooping, climbing stairs and ladders up to 90 meters,
working at heights up to 300 ft within wind turbine nacelles,
crawling, carrying up to 50 pounds, grasping tools and equipment,
kneeling, lifting objects up to 50 pounds, pulling hand over hand,
pushing, reaching above shoulder level, repetitive motion when
using hand tools, standing, walking for extended periods, working
in confined spaces, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect
color coding, read fine print, depth perception), hearing
requirement. Physical Requirements (Office) include but are not
limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects
up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion,
sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect
color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement. Mental

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written
instructions or other information, understand complex problems and
collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and
ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work
schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate
impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this
area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines,
complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and
basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
