looking for you to join our team as a Supply Chain Manager 2. What
You'll get to Do: As the Supply Chain Manager , you will serve in a
unique capacity as the key onsite Global Supply Chain (GSC) leader
for our brand-new Blue Ridge Advanced Manufacturing Center. This is
a high-impact opportunity to architect the GSC and Supplier
Performance Management (SPM) operational landscape of a
startup-style environment backed by the resources of a global
defense leader. You will be the primary onsite lead for our GSC and
SPM organization. In this working-manager role, you will connect
program, PMO, GSC, and SPM functional resources across multiple
sites and ensure that the tactical needs of our shop floor are
addressed from the GSC perspective. We are looking for a
process-thinking visionary who can take a greenfield site and
establish a high-performing last mile process for success in the
GSC domain, supported by numerous GSC professional and leaders
across the organization. Responsibilities will include: Demand &
Supply Strategy - Create, document, and maintain formal
supply?and?demand plans that align with program goals,
business?unit objectives, and corporate priorities. Forecasting &
EAC Managemen t - Produce accurate Earned?Value,
cost?account?management (CAM) forecasts; develop material sales
forecasts and update Estimated At Completion (EAC) figures for
senior leadership. Material Shortage Resolution - Identify critical
material gaps early, develop corrective actions, and recover
program schedules and budgets. Prioritization & Adaptability -
Continuously assess shifting program needs; re?prioritize tasks to
meet changing delivery timelines and resource constraints. Project
Planning - Draft and maintain detailed project plans that integrate
supply?chain milestones with overall program schedules, risk
registers, and opportunity logs. Last?Mile Coordination - Drive
end?to?end delivery execution across multiple campuses, ensuring
that final?leg shipments meet timing, quality, and compliance
standards. Supplier Engagement - Serve as the GSC prime contact for
contract?level supplier interactions; lead supplier briefings,
performance reviews, and corrective?action workshops. Delivery
Optimization - Align supplier production and shipping schedules
with program, business?unit, and corporate targets; negotiate
adjustments to minimize bottlenecks. Quality Assurance - Monitor
supplier quality metrics; enforce Northrop Grumman quality
standards and drive continuous?improvement initiatives. Risk &
Opportunity Management - Identify, document, and mitigate
supply?chain risks; capture and pursue improvement opportunities
that enhance cost, schedule, or performance. Cross?Functional
Collaboration - Partner with PMO, engineering, manufacturing,
finance, and other campus teams to resolve issues that span
multiple sites and functions. Leadership Presentation - Prepare and
deliver concise briefings for internal and external
decision?makers, including manufacturing center of excellence
reviews, leadership boards, and customer meetings. Basic
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of
relevant experience in Global Supply Chain/Logistics/Supplier
Performance Management or a Master's Degree with a minimum of 6
years of relevant experience in Global Supply
Chain/Logistics/Supplier Performance Management 3 years of team
lead and/or management of people GSC experience in an Aerospace
/Defense/DOD environment Experience in forecasting demand,
identifying critical material gaps early, developing corrective
actions, and recovering program schedules and budgets. Must be able
to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance and
additional program clearances US citizenship is required. Preferred
Qualifications: Experience working at a greenfield site (brand-new
world-class manufacturing facility) Experience with SAP S/4HANA for
GSC functions Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 requirements
Experience in triaging quality defects in received part/material
from suppliers Experience with Government procurement processes and
regulations; FAR/DFAR Experience supporting complex proposal
efforts Expert MS Excel capability including pivot tables, macros,
and VBA scripting A current active Security Clearance Primary Level
Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,400.00 The above salary range
represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers
a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the
scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's
experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime,
shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base
pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions
as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees
in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long
Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety
of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and
disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid
time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business. The
