Job Description:

Our application is not compatible with Internet Explorer (IE).Manager, Institutional Relations, AmericasJob Description Summary:The Manager, Institutional Relations (IR), Program Key Accounts, Americas (AMER) is responsible for developing and executing a relationship management plan in collaboration with societies especially in markets not supported directly by the IR Directors. The role will work with interested societies and accounts programmatically; i.e., offering a series of IR tools in kit form, which can be adapted to company needs. The focus will be on identified second tier accounts described for society purposes as Program Key Accounts, where societies will be encouraged to take the lead on a narrowly defined set of offerings including but not limited to CFA, CIPM, and IF Program support, D&I, ESG, and Ethics. The individual will work closely with Subject Matter Experts, other IR RMs and Society Relations (SR) to keep kits current (responding to on-going feedback from events as they are held), comprehensive (meeting and event slides, program requirements, invitations and follow-up templates, etc.) and be sensitive to trends and events in investment management.

CFA Institute and the network of over 159 CFA societies around the world share a mission to lead the investment management profession globally by promoting the highest standards of ethics, education and professional excellence for the ultimate benefit of society. CFA Institute has over 170,000 members worldwide, and last year administered the CFA exam to over 350,000 aspiring candidates. IR is the CFA Institute team tasked with developing and deepening relationships with key external investment firms, universities, and regulators which drive the investment management profession, to fulfill our mission above. To achieve this aim, IR must extend support and resources to investment organizations in close collaboration with the network of CFA societies in the Americas region, including those which currently are not directly covered by the IR staff. This role will focus on developing and executing this extended IR service model by leveraging work done by team members and creating standard engagement tools and processes that society volunteers can use directly with the key institutional clients in other markets, like more bespoke work done by IR Directors with the largest accounts.

This role will identify and engage with many (typically) smaller societies to reach employers and academics in the region, ultimately to build relationships with targeted staff and promote the full portfolio of CFA Institute products and services. This will be achieved through an active outreach and engagement program, and measured through the promotion of the CFA charter, membership in the CFA Institute, incorporation of its products and services, adoption of its professional codes, etc., by the Manager's institutional accounts.

This individual is tasked with collaborating with SR in identifying and developing objectives for institutional engagement, enabling them to implement programs and processes deployed by our IR team, and creating a support structure to help them plan and execute a local institutional engagement plan.

Another key aspect of the role is being part of the Americas IR team, working collaboratively with other relationship managers on client projects and programs more generally in the region, as experience with developing and executing these programs informs the approach this individual will take in supporting CFA society institutional outreach. This can include but is not limited to activities such as ESG and D&I workshops , meetings and events supporting our three credentials, and other outreach activities.

The position will be based in Charlottesville or NYC and will report to Senior Director, IR , AMER with a matrix reporting to Senior Director, SR, AMER.Job Description:
