Treasury Management includes managing and optimizing our customers' cash flow and mitigating its operational, financial, and reputational risk. We focus on creating operating efficiencies, cost savings, and time savings for our customers by delivering treasury solutions through a consultative approach.

The person in this experienced business development consultant position will be responsible for helping clients and prospects identify ways to improve or enhance their overall treasury operations, including paper to electronic and technology focused strategy and solutions.

The Treasury Management Sales Consultant 3:


  • Will be responsible for development and retention of treasury management business for an assigned customer base, geographic area, market segment, or series of product lines. This position partners with relationship managers in a consultative role and is responsible for meeting annual business development goals and business development activity targets by developing and executing a strategy to retain and expand existing relationships, including developing territory and key relationship business development plans and analyzing customer needs.
  • Will provide education on treasury strategies, treasury management solutions, products, and services to customers, relationship managers, and other partners as needed.
  • Is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, requiring minimal assistance in managing assigned territory, engagement with customers, and interaction with key internal partners.
  • Is expected to actively share knowledge and market experience with peers and less experienced team members, and be a participant in Treasury Management initiatives.
  • May be responsible for mentoring less experienced treasury management consultants.

    This position will be based in Richmond, VA or Charlottesville, VA; developing and retaining a commercial banking customer base in the central Virginia geographic area. Some overnight travel may be required.Required Qualifications


    • 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: sales, business development, or treasury management

      • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
      • Strong presentation skills

        • Strong thought leadership, insight driven, with consultative business development skills
        • Ability to be proactive, innovative, and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs
        • Strong knowledge and understanding of treasury management products, services, and operations
        • Basic knowledge of ERP systems
        • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
        • Demonstrated problem solving and collaboration skills, including navigating complex organizations and issues in a team environment
        • Ability to actively participate on client calls and make presentations, including demonstrated strong presentation skills and insight delivery
        • Experience in regularly meeting or exceeding business development goals
        • Experience meeting customer satisfaction goals
        • Understanding of revenue cycle process and solutions
        • Ability to partner with C-Suite individuals
        • A BS/BA degree or higher


          Job Expectations


          • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
