We are searching for a Region Manager to join our UPS Dedicated Team in the East Region. This role is responsible for leading a team of highly technical consultants as they execute on the UPS Corporate Service Strategy. This includes implementing control strategies, services and programs in a manner consistent with our value proposition. Accountable for workforce management, outcome metrics, process improvement and creating an environment that fosters innovation. This is an exciting role leading a fast-paced innovative team that delivers a strong ROI to UPS Region and Corporate buyers. Preferred location for this role is Nashville, TN, Louisville, KY, Orlando, FL, Richmond, VA, Harrisburg, VA, Baltimore, MD, Philadelphia, PA, Boston, MA. The manager must live in the area of UPS district/zone responsibility.Please Note: This position is eligible to be hired at different levels depending on experience.Responsibilities:Leadership: Having the ability to collaborate, innovate, influence and inspire those around them to meet a common goal. Drives quality of team engagement, including implementation of Service Strategies. Fosters internal Talent Mobility to build deeper talent pools that result in greater diversification of staff.Continuous Improvement: Having a growth mindset that allows for continuous improvement of work product and service delivery in a collaborative way that provides consistent innovation.Relationship Building: Ability to form and sustain relationships at all levels of customer organization and become a trusted influencer in order to impact business objectives.Account Service: Work with UPS Management and employees to provide comprehensive, highly sophisticated consulting services to assists in meeting customer key performance indicators. Including a deep understanding of customer operations and industry exposures in order to develop strategies to mitigate risk.Execution: Ensures alignment between staff technical/consultative skills and service strategy needs as well as internal quality standards. Identifies skills gaps and builds development strategies in collaboration with Specialists and Technical Directors.Management: Recruits and maintains a high performing results-oriented staff. Decisively handles performance issues, complies with legal and corporate requirements and manages budgetary and HR considerations.Key Capabilities and Characteristics:Inquisitive thinking and problem-solving skills.
