• BLS - Basic Life Support required
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred
• NIH Stroke Certification preferred
• Other certifications relevant to specialty as required by the facility

  • 13 weeks
  • 6North is a 12 bed unit utilizing critical care and neuroscience principles at the Intermediate level.
  • Common patient populations include patients transferring from the Neuro ICU.
  • This unit takes care of patients who have experienced neuro trauma, subarachnoid, intraventricular or intracerebral hemorrhage, ENT patients with cancer who have had a tumor resection and flap reconstruction, post-operative spine patients and a wide range of neurological problems.
  • Patient ratio of 1:3.
  • Nights
  • Start date: redacted for privacy
  • Offers 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Must work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 winter holidays
  • Can approve 40 hrs for time off
  • NIH required before start but can submit pending
  • Must adhere to UVAs float policy
  • Can submit with VA license pending
  • Must have Epic experience
