Pay Information $2,934 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Valid State License required Certifications: Required - ACLS, BLS Preferred - State License Must-Have: IR experience required Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab experience required Electrophysiology Lab experience required Interventional Cardiac Cath lab experience required Interventional Radiology experience required Description: The position involves working in a Cath Lab setting. Candidates must have experience in interventional radiology. Skills required include diagnostic catheterizations and interventional catheterizations. Experience with left heart catheterization and right heart catheterization is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with various cardiac interventions such as PCI, IABP placement, and the use of AICDs. The role requires proficiency in multiple procedures including angioplasty, liver biopsy, and chest tube placement. Candidates should be prepared to manage emergency medications and perform procedural sedation. Knowledge of infection prevention and monitoring procedural sedation is essential. Candidates will need to assist with central line insertion and IV management. Vascular closure systems and cardiac mapping skills are preferred. The nurse should be comfortable floating to various units as required. Weekend coverage is expected every other weekend, with on-call shifts as assigned. Precepting responsibilities will be part of the role. The average daily census in the unit is between 15 to 20 patients. The unit is equipped with specialized clinical equipment necessary for complex procedures.
