Pay Information $1,752 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Current and valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: Previous surgical experience is required. Charge experience preferred. Pediatric surgical patients aged 12 and above will be accepted based on the surgical procedure. Experience with a patient ratio of 1:6. Description: The position involves providing care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures. The unit treats patients who have undergone general surgery, abdominal surgery, urological surgery, orthopedic surgery, hysterectomy, mastectomy, spine surgery, and bariatric surgery. Candidates must be familiar with fast-paced inpatient surgical settings. The role requires accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and care for colostomy and feeding tubes. Nurses will administer oxygen, manage intravenous lines, and perform phlebotomy. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams and adhering to established procedures and protocols. Weekends and holidays are part of the standard work requirement. Fit testing is required for this role. All requests for time off must be documented appropriately. A zero-tolerance policy for substance use is enforced. Medical marijuana cards are not accepted.
