Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work night shifts with every other weekend requirement and 2 weekday shifts based on staffing needs • Holiday rotation required - must work holidays during assigned rotation periods • Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends • 24 hours of orientation provided • 2 years of nursing experience required • First-time travelers accepted • Required certifications: BLS, CPI • Must have skills in accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, chest tubes, colostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin administration, high flow nasal cannula, insulin protocols, telemetry monitoring, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response teams • Experience with Meditech charting system preferred • Community hospital experience preferred • Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including cellulitis, pneumonia, renal failure, sepsis, diabetes, COPD, wound care, and various medical conditions • Work on 2 West Medical Innovation Unit - a 32-bed unit focused on new technologies and innovative nursing practices • Zero tolerance policy for THC - medical marijuana cards not accepted • Fit testing required with clean shave policy Facility: This healthcare facility features a Medical Innovation Unit that serves as a catalyst for new technologies and innovative nursing practice.
