Must-Have: Charting system experience preferred Description: This
position involves working the night shift with every other weekend
required. Two weekday shifts are expected based on staffing needs.
There is a holiday rotation, and working a holiday in that rotation
is mandatory. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6. First-time
travelers are accepted for this role. Candidates must be able to
manage weekends as needed. Local candidates within a 50-mile radius
of the facility are not accepted. COVID-19 vaccination is not
required; however, the flu vaccine is required with exemptions only
for medical or religious reasons. Applicants should expect to
perform nursing responsibilities in a medical/surgical unit
focusing on innovative nursing practices and technologies. This
unit has advanced equipment and an emphasis on new technologies.
Skills required include accessing and managing ports, blood product
administration, and hemodialysis management, among others.
Interdisciplinary support will be available, including respiratory
services, pharmacy, and social services. Common patient diagnoses
include pneumonia, renal failure, diabetes management, and wound
care. Travelers must comply with health policies including zero
