Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS required, CCRN preferred Must-Have: Proficiency with care of ventilated patients Proficiency with titration of sedation, analgesia, and vasoactive cardiac medications Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 10 Day Shift Staff: 1 charge nurse, 4 registered nurses, 1 unit secretary Night Shift Staff: 1 charge nurse, 4 registered nurses Patient Ratios: 1: 2-3 Type of Equipment: GE bedside telemetry monitoring, EMR Meditech Typical Hiring Profile: Medical ICU experience preferred Experience with rapid response/code blue team is a plus List of Typical Procedures Performed: Assistance with rapid sequence intubation and arterial or central line placement Slow/continuous dialysis via TABLO (SLED) Best Personality Fit: Team player Self-motivated Floating Areas: Intermediate Care Unit, Neurosurgical ICU, MedSurg as needed Dress Code: Scrub color: Navy Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please refer to unit policies and guidelines for more information. Weekends and On Call: Every other weekend required. No on-call duties.
