Registered Nurse (RN) | Endoscopy Location: Arlington, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,796 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 8 Weeks Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: GI Lab Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: Active VA license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Experience with Epic charting system preferred Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the GI Lab. This position involves working in both Preoperative and Phase 2 recovery settings. The focus is primarily on outpatient care, although there will be some inpatient responsibilities. Preoperative tasks include patient assessment, monitoring vital signs, and IV insertion. In Phase 2 recovery, responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, utilizing the Aldrete scoring system, reviewing discharge instructions, and IV removal. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a patient ratio of 1:1 in preoperative care and 1:3 in postoperative recovery. There will also be interdisciplinary support from various services including respiratory, interpretation, phlebotomy, and social services. Experience in caring for adult and geriatric patients is necessary. Special procedures include EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and EUS. Candidates should be familiar with the usual patient diagnoses, such as GI bleed, anemia, and abdominal pain. All applicants must be smoke-free and nicotine-free. Expectation of flexibility in scheduling, including the potential requirement to work on holidays. Travelers are only permitted to submit to one job ID at a time.
