Position Summary/Responsibilities The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is responsible for supporting the Physical Therapist in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services, focusing on patient care and recovery. Key responsibilities include: ? Assisting in conducting patient assessments and developing individualized treatment plans. ? Implementing therapy interventions to improve mobility, strength, and independence under the direction of the Physical Therapist. ? Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the Physical Therapist. ? Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. ? Providing education to patients and families on therapy goals and rehabilitation strategies. ? Ensuring compliance with documentation, facility policies, and regulatory requirements. ? Participating in facility meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and survey preparedness. ? Maintaining accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Requirements ? Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program. ? Current and valid PTA license/certification. ? Experience working with adult/geriatric populations preferred. ? Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems. ? Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient care skills. ?
