Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization
in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated
Clinical Nurse II to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in
delivering exemplary patient care in a range of settings from
primary care to advanced surgical procedures. The Clinical Nurse II
will be instrumental in implementing patient care plans, providing
direct care, and integrating evidence-based practices to enhance
patient outcomes. Our commitment to a patient-first approach

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
and according to established procedures. Assess, plan, implement,
and evaluate nursing care plans in collaboration with the
healthcare team. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans
accordingly. Educate patients and their families on disease
processes, medical-surgical procedures, and other pertinent health
issues. Maintain complete and accurate patient records. Participate
in the development and updating of patient care protocols.
Supervise junior nurses and assistive personnel, ensuring adherence
to all applicable regulations and standards. Proficiency in
clinical skills with an ability to handle medical equipment. Strong
organizational and multi-tasking skills. Excellent interpersonal
and communication skills. Capability to work effectively in a
high-pressure environment. Proficient in electronic health record
(EHR) systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced Cardiovascular
Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred.
