Job Description:
As a pivotal leadership role at MedStar Health, the RN AVP of
Clinical Operations is geared towards enhancing the quality and
effectiveness of nursing practices and patient care across our
network. This role requires an innovative and seasoned professional
focused on developing strategic clinical operational directives,
maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and leading
cross-functional teams in the pursuit of excellence in
patient-first healthcare services. Leveraging extensive industry
experience and a thorough understanding of modern healthcare
environments, the AVP will ensure that clinical operations support
the system-wide strategies aimed at delivering exceptional care.
Strategically direct and enhance clinical operations across
multiple departments and facilities. Develop and implement policies
and standards that improve the quality of care while ensuring
compliance with healthcare regulations. Lead, mentor, and develop a
large team of clinical managers and healthcare professionals.
Coordinate with other executive leaders to align clinical
operations with overall organizational goals. Oversee budgetary
allocations, ensuring efficient use of resources in clinical
settings. Utilize data-driven strategies to assess, plan, and
implement improvements in patient care services. Ensure the
effective integration of new technologies and practices into
healthcare services. Proven leadership and management skills in
healthcare settings Strong understanding of hospital and healthcare
operations Ability to design and implement clinical policies and
procedures Expertise in regulatory compliance and quality
improvement Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively
Proficient in the use of medical software and healthcare
technologies Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Certification in Healthcare Management (e.g., FACHE - Fellow of the
American College of Healthcare Executives) preferred
