Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Farmville, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,984 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical - Surgical (Telemetry) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12H Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Prior travel experience required License: Active VA / Compact License required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - Ability to read telemetry strips - Ortho experience Description: Requisition comments and notes indicate a start date of 3/23. This is a Med/Surg RN position. There is a requirement for weekend coverage every other weekend. Occasional floating to ICU may be necessary to take Med/Surg overflow patients. No drips are administered on this unit; titrated heparin infusion is rare. Dialysis is performed on the floor, and dialysis nurses complete the treatments. Pediatric care is not provided on this unit. Registered nurses will need to be able to read tele strips and have ortho experience. Patients may have central lines. There is a nurse-driven Foley removal protocol. Registered nurses administer metered-dose inhalers. Patients are maintained on CPAP or BiPap as required. For home BiPap and CPAP, the registered nurse may assist the patient in placing the mask and pressing the start button. An IV team is not available. The Iceman is utilized for hip and knee total joints. Wound vacs, accuchecks, and respiratory treatments are part of the care provided. All credentialing documents must be submitted prior to start. All requests for time off must be submitted and approved before acceptance. There is a culture of support among team members, including travelers, particularly when working with students and new hires. Cancellation of assignments may occur up to 36 hours prior due to patient census demands. Floating requirements are not anticipated for this position.
