Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals in delivering specialized care and treatment to patients across a variety of settings. Our Occupational Therapists play a pivotal role in improving the quality of life for patients through therapeutic approaches and treatment plans targeting physical, psychological, and environmental barriers to improved health. Assess patient conditions by observing their abilities and analyzing medical histories to develop effective treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions to address physical, developmental, and emotional impairments. Advocate for patient needs and coordinate with healthcare professionals to provide holistic care. Educate patients and their families on ongoing treatment plans and therapeutic techniques necessary for improvement. Maintain patient records and document therapy outcomes to track progress and adjust interventions as needed. Stay updated with the latest therapeutic practices and technologies pertinent to occupational therapy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong ability to think critically and solve problems In-depth knowledge of therapeutic techniques and patient evaluation Capability to handle emotionally charged situations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of practice. Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). CPR certification is also preferred.
