Job Description:
MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to
join our team for the night shift at our state-of-the-art
healthcare facility. In this role, you will be integral in
providing exceptional patient care, focusing on medication
management, safety, and optimization. You will collaborate with
healthcare professionals to promote best practices in medicine
administration and contribute to research and quality improvement
initiatives. Review, prepare, and dispense medications and
prescriptions while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Monitor patient medication therapies and provide drug information
and recommendations. Maintain accurate medication and patient
records, and participate in inventories. Work collaboratively with
healthcare teams to implement treatment plans that ensure optimal
patient care. Provide guidance and supervision to pharmacy
technicians and interns. Stay current with developments in
pharmacology and healthcare regulations. Strong knowledge of
pharmacotherapy and clinical pharmacokinetics. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using
pharmacy information systems. Ability to work independently and
handle stressful situations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Must be a licensed Pharmacist
in the state of hiring. Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy
(BCPS) preferred.
