Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Richmond, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,325 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Richmond, Virginia, 23219! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a Critical Care setting, preferably CVICU or CSICU. License: Active RN license in a compact state. Certifications: ACLS, BLS. Must-Have: Must have experience in a Level 1 facility. Strong skills in invasive hemodynamic monitoring. Experience with CRRT, IABP, and ECMO. Charge experience is preferred. Description: This position is in a cardiac surgery intensive care unit. The unit provides care for patients recovering from various cardiac surgeries including CABGs, valve repair/replacements, and aortic surgeries. Nursing assignments will include 1-2 patients with complex diagnoses. Responsibilities include invasive hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive IV medications. The nurse will provide post-operative recovery care and manage advanced heart failure patients. Experience with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation and continuous renal replacement therapy is essential. Candidates will float within their scope if needed. Interdisciplinary support is available, including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services. A natural nail policy is in place, and candidates must adhere to infection control guidelines. References will be required for all candidates.
