Job Summary: Join our culinary team at the Inn & Tavern at Meander as a Line Cook/Dishwasher, where you will play a dual role in supporting our kitchen operations. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, efficient, and looking to gain comprehensive experience in a professional kitchen environment. Responsibilities: Assist the Executive Chef and other kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking according to recipes and specifications. Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils through proper washing and storage practices. Manage the setup and cleanliness of the kitchen stations before, during, and after the service. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dishwashing area to meet health and safety standards. Support inventory management by ensuring kitchen tools and ingredients are ready and available for use. Step into food preparation roles as needed to ensure timely delivery of dishes to guests. Qualifications: Experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role preferred, but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely. Capability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Commitment to cleanliness and efficiency in food service. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and stand for extended periods.
