Program Manager, you'll employ project management best practices to
ensure the success of large, cross team initiatives. You'll
coordinate dependencies and communication to ensure on time, on
budget delivery. You'll make recommendations to resolve contention.
You'll manage timelines and expectations with leadership. Keys to
success for this role are being able to communicate effectively
across all levels and roles, being obsessive about the minutia,
having strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Bringing high visibility, cross team initiatives to life
- Working closely with people from a variety of disciplines
- Defining standards to ensure documentation/organization
consistency
- Conducting, managing, and mentoring others on project
management tools and best practices
- Understanding the 'why' behind the product team's strategic
vision and help make it a realityYour Responsibilities:
- Own, drive, and manage, cross-team initiatives
- Develop, institute, and evolve cross-team methodology, process,
and communications
- Determine cross team dependencies, help prioritize the backlog,
and manage the iterative directional roadmap based on business
value and needs
- Continually strive for the elusive perfect balance of deadline,
budget, dependency, and developer velocity
- Participate in our Agile process, including daily standups,
planning meetings, sprints, demos, and retrospectives
- Institute and enforce change management within the context of
our Agile process
- Regularly communicate progress to senior management
- Occasional travel to other Merkle offices may be requested
Qualifications: Qualifications:
- 3+ years of project management experience including PMP
certification
- 3+ years of working in/with software development teams
- 2+ years of digital media experience and domain knowledge
- Excellent writing and communication skills, especially
describing complex concepts with simple, plain-language
examples
- Exceptional attention to detail
- A sense of humor
- A self-starter, entrepreneurial spirit and a positive
attitude
