Position Description: CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity
for a Tradecraft SME / Business Analyst within our Intel sector
advancing the national security mission through cutting edge
technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly
evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a
highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities.
The Tradecraft SME / Business Analyst provides expert guidance and
training on intelligence analysis techniques and processes,
ensuring adherence to established standards and best practices.
They mentor analysts, review intelligence products, and develop
training materials to enhance the quality of intelligence
production. Responsibilities include evaluating analytic
tradecraft, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting in the
development of new methodologies. CGI Federal is growing its

Arlington, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is
acceptable. Your future duties and responsibilities: • Gathering
and Analyzing Requirements: Business analysts collect and analyze
data to understand business needs and requirements, often through
interviews, surveys, and document analysis. • Documenting
Requirements: They create detailed documentation, such as business
requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and use
cases, to clearly outline the needs of the project. • Process
Analysis and Improvement: They analyze existing business processes,
identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to enhance
efficiency and effectiveness. • Solution Development: Business
analysts work with stakeholders to define and propose solutions
that address identified needs and align with business objectives. •
Collaboration and Communication: They facilitate communication
between business stakeholders, IT teams, and other relevant parties
to ensure everyone is aligned and working towards the same goals. •
Testing and Implementation Support: They participate in testing new
systems and processes to ensure they meet the defined requirements
and provide support during implementation. • Mentorship and
Guidance: Provide mentorship and guidance to intelligence analysts
on various aspects of tradecraft, including project
conceptualization, analytic techniques, and product development. •
Product Review: Review finished intelligence products for adherence
to Intelligence Community (IC) standards, such as ICD 203, and
provide constructive feedback. • Training Development and Delivery:
Design and deliver training programs to improve analysts' and
analytic managers' ability to produce high-quality intelligence
products. • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in
the intelligence analysis process, recommend solutions, and assist
in implementing those solutions. • Structured Analytic Techniques:
Apply and teach structured analytic techniques to improve the rigor
and quality of intelligence analysis. • Compliance: Ensure
compliance with relevant intelligence Required qualifications to be
successful in this role: • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s
degree and/or 10 years of experience • Security Clearance: TS/SCI
with Poly • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze complex data,
identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions. • Communication
Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to
effectively interact with stakeholders and convey technical
information. • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify
problems, analyze root causes, and develop effective solutions. •
Technical Skills: Understanding of business systems, data analysis
tools, experience with IC client databases and relevant
technologies. • Interpersonal Skills: The ability to build
relationships, collaborate effectively, and influence stakeholders.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a
reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The
determination of this range includes various factors not limited to
skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and
certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based
performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the
top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are
dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable
estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is
$88,200.00 - $214,800.00. CGI Federal's benefits are offered to
