Job Description:
Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost
provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s
two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for
North American natural gas and support the long-term development of
clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable,
proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration,
Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace
traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and
operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Director, IT
Applications Architecture to lead the strategic design and
evolution of our enterprise applications ecosystem. This role will
be responsible for defining and implementing comprehensive
application architecture strategies, overseeing complex system
integrations through middleware platforms, managing integration
initiatives, and ensuring seamless connectivity across all lines of
business. The Director will serve as the technical visionary for
application architecture while partnering closely with our delivery
teams to ensure architectural decisions translate into successful
implementations. This position reports to the Vice President,
Applications. Performance Responsibilities: Essential Functions:
Cross-Functional Solution Architecture: Lead architectural design
reviews for complex, multi-system initiatives spanning multiple
lines of business, ensuring solutions meet scalability,
performance, security, and maintainability requirements Collaborate
with business stakeholders across all lines of business to
understand complex process requirements and translate them into
scalable technical solutions Design end-to-end application
solutions for complex business processes, considering data flow,
user experience, security, compliance, and operational requirements
Lead architecture assessment and modernization initiatives for
legacy systems, providing strategic recommendations for technology
refresh, cloud migration, and digital transformation efforts
Oversee vendor evaluation and selection processes for application
platforms, integration tools, and architectural components
Integration and Middleware Management: Oversee all enterprise
integration initiatives through middleware platforms, designing and
implementing integration architectures that support complex
business processes across organizational boundaries Lead
application integration strategy and implementation, ensuring
seamless data flow and process integration between applications
Establish integration governance frameworks, including data mapping
standards, error handling protocols, and monitoring strategies for
mission-critical integrations Partner with IT architecture teams to
ensure application layer alignment with broader technology strategy
and infrastructure capabilities Strategic Architecture Leadership:
Establish and enforce application architecture principles,
patterns, and best practices across the organization while
maintaining architectural decision records and technical debt
management strategies Define and maintain enterprise application
architecture strategy, standards, and governance frameworks aligned
with business objectives and technology roadmaps Other Essential
Functions: Plan, organize, direct, supervise, and manage the
personnel and activities of the team Responsible for attracting,
developing and retaining an outstanding workforce Define and report
on applicable metrics. Provides project management and leadership
to staff and external resources in support of established goals and
objectives, improved efficiencies, and problem resolution. Ensures
accomplishment of all objectives in accordance with VGLNG policies,
procedures, and strategic direction, as well as regulatory
standards governing VGLNG. Maintains current knowledge of industry
and regulatory trends and developments for the enterprise
technology. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with degree
preferred in Computer Science or Information technology systems
security or related field. Advanced degrees preferred Minimum of
ten (10) years of experience with enterprise applications
Experience in working with leaders across functional teams to align
technology strategy and roadmaps to business goals Experience with
defining technical application strategies, including API and
integration Experience with managing vendors across various
locations and geographies Strong Emotional Intelligence with
demonstrated sustained leadership in a large organization involving
multiple stakeholders Demonstrated management skills, e.g.,
administration, policy development and implementation, personnel
administration, staff training and development. Have
executive-level written and verbal presentation skills Venture
