Job Summary:

Lumin is seeking an experienced and self-directed Sales Manager to generate new business for Lumins smart home energy management platform.

In this role, you will handle both inbound and outbound sales activities, including but not limited to, account creation, responding to inbound sales inquiries, product demonstrations, and account management.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in residential or small commercial solar or related field, with expertise in lead generation, B2B sales, and project management. The candidate should also be highly passionate about emerging clean energy technologies and how they can benefit Lumins customer base and the greater industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the Lumin brand and ensure customers have a fantastic sales experience
  • Manage inbound installer leads, appropriately qualifying and progressing customers through the sales pipeline
  • Perform outbound sales activities to build up the Lumin customer base
  • Demonstrate and sell the Lumin Smart Panel to installers, establishing rapport and determining the best solution for the customer
  • Become an expert in guiding installers through specific solar + energy storage + Lumin Smart Panel configurations, including collecting single-line diagrams and important information about their projects
  • Anticipate and overcome objections, and perform within a short sales cycle
  • Cultivate new quality leads through networking and customer referrals
  • Effectively take advantage of and use digital marketing and sales tools
  • Create quarterly and annual strategies to meet Lumin sales goals
  • Maintain accurate records of all account activities through CRM
  • Manage active sales opportunities including contract negotiation and account management
  • Lead Lumin Sales Trainings for new customer accounts
  • Support digital marketing efforts including website and SEO development efforts
  • Assess new market opportunities based on industry trends/insights

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, ideally in B2B2C
  • Excellent communication skills
  • General knowledge of solar PV + storage systems
  • Self-sufficient worker capable of working in fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Salesforce or like CRM tools
  • Must be energetic, outgoing, and entrepreneurial
  • Results-oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize business needs
  • Driven and motivated to play a key role in building a business and scaling a new product
  • Experience working in a collaborative sales process with other salespeople and team members

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with solar and/or smart home device sales
  • Track record of success with sales of multi-thousand-dollar products
  • Understanding of solar and battery upgrades
  • Understanding of home remodels / home upgrade
