The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences, at
the University of Virginia, School of Medicine, is seeking
applicants for an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry position.
Responsibilities include providing child psychiatric clinical
services to the Medical Center. These clinical services could
include both inpatient and/or outpatient work. The incumbent is
expected to participate in the supervision and training of
psychiatry residents, fellows, and medical students. The incumbent
may be required to provide services in person, through telemedicine
and in other affiliated sites, cover call for nights and weekends,
and backup call for psychiatry service. This is an excellent
opportunity for a clinician with interests in academic psychiatry,
teaching, and research.
Candidates must have an MD, DO, or equivalent, and be
board-eligible in Child Psychiatry by the start date of the
Salary, and tenure status are contingent upon candidate
