Job Description Summary/Objective
This position is Monday through Thursday- 30 Hours per week,
This position is responsible for promoting the Community Senior
Centers and recruiting new participants.
He/she supervises the operation of and supporting staff
responsible for congregate meals, health promotion,
disease prevention programming; and the provision of a diverse,
creative activity program. This position
contributes as a proactive team member within the JABA team
1. Program Management - Direct the planning, function, and
evaluation of respective Center program within area of oversight;
Participate in development of new projects/programs; responds with
independent judgement to overall program aspects on a day-to-day
basis. Supervise food and safety regulations to ensure adherence to
federal and state guidelines.
2. Data Management & Reporting - Complete performance monitoring
for program; enter monthly data into web based data management
system; management of program monitoring activities performed by
other staff; review and conduct program evaluation methods; utilize
information to continuously improve services and results.
3. Staff Management - Hire, train and supervise daily activities of
Activity Assistants in the respective Community Senior Center
program. Provide coaching and mentoring to staff as needed, conduct
regular individual and team meetings; conduct mid-year and annual
reviews; provide disciplinary action up to and including
termination of employment in coordination with Manager of SNP;
monitor the orientation, training and ongoing development of staff
for continuous skills improvement. Coach staff and foster strong,
positive, collaborative team work.
4. Community Engagement - Collaborate with other departments,
community boards and groups to achieve specific short or long-term
goals; network with individuals representing partners or potential
partners.; representing JABA at community events.
5. Fiscal Management - monitor expenses against budgets; approval
of expenses; work in coordination with Manager of SNP to track
budget caps and provide input into budget; accountable for program
performance against budget.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is
required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and
reach with hands and arms.
This is a largely sedentary role. This would require the ability
to lift objects, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a
stool as necessary. Occasionally pick up, lift carry and place
items weighting up to 50 pounds in and around JABA Facilities.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full time position
working Monday Friday.
Travel is primarily local travel during the business day.
Required Education and Experience
1.Associates degree in Human Services or related field or 1 to 3
years of relevant work experience is required
2.Bachelors degree in Human Services or related field is
