The Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME) in the School
of Medicine is seeking an experienced Continuing Medical Education
Program Manager. The Office of CME works collaboratively with the
School of Nursing. Our recent accreditation as a Joint
Accreditation Provider for Interprofessional Continuing Medical
Education opens new and exciting opportunities for promoting and
supporting the faculty and staff of UVA Health. The Office of CME
plans and accredits over 200 CE activities/year and works with
regional health systems, professional societies and other
organizations to design and execute quality continuing professional
development experiences for healthcare professionals and teams.
This position requires the candidate to have at least Masters
Degree in Education or a healthcare focused field and at least five
years of experience. The Continuing Medical Education Program
Manager serves as an educational design and accreditation
Job responsibilities include:
- Development of relevant, independent, and evidence-based
content designed to build knowledge, competence, and skills to
support excellence in all aspects of healthcare
- Engages with faculty and staff experts on innovative and
interactive approaches for content delivery
- Develops timelines and deadlines for effective promotion,
implementation and execution of the CE project
- Solicits, in accordance with accreditation requirements,
support from industry
- Manages and oversees all financial and logistic elements of the
CE project from inception to conclusion
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $60,000 -
$74,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
This is a restricted position; continuation is dependent
on funding and satisfactory performance.
