The University of Virginia Department of Art seeks applications
to fill a non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Printmaking &
Drawing position for a one year appointment. Subjects of particular
need Subjects of particular need are Stone and Aluminum Lithography
and Relief Printmaking. Additional courses will include drawing and
foundations course for a 3-3 teaching load.
The Art Department at UVA is focused on undergraduate studio art
education within a liberal arts college. Candidates must have a
strong commitment to teaching and successful experience in the
classroom as an instructor of record.
Requirements for this position include a relevant terminal
degree (MFA) along with a strong exhibition history and evidence of
current and ongoing creative practice. Teaching experience in
printmaking and drawing is required. Applicants must be on track to
receive an MFA by May 2021 and must hold a terminal degree at the
time of appointment.
