The Office of the Vice President for Research at the University
of Virginia is seeking a Research Compliance Manager, Post Approval
Monitoring to join their team.
Responsibilities includes the design and implementation of
procedures for post approval monitoring (PAM) of studies approved
through the Institutional Review Board for the Social and
Behavioral Sciences (IRB-SBS). The incumbent collaborates with IT
programmers/developers and IRB-SBS administrative staff to further
develop a successful and meaningful post approval monitoring
program. The Research Compliance Manager is responsible for
establishing and maintaining membership, procedures, and function
for the SBS PAM & ED Advisory Committee. The incumbent will
coordinate with IT programmers/developers and IRB-SBS
administrative staff to develop and deliver educational materials
and sessions aimed at improving an understanding of and compliance
with the Human Research Protections Program policies and procedures
at the University of Virginia.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of
relevant experience is required.
Physical Demands: This is primarily a sedentary job involving
extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally
require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and

expectation of some in-person support at UVA, thus residence in the
Charlottesville or surrounding area is preferred.
Anticipated Hiring Range: Approximately $55K - $77K,
commensurate with candidate's experience and qualifications, with
