What will you be Doing:

The Region Director oversees the direction, operation and activities to support the initiatives of the assigned hospital and/or healthcare systems and is in close partnership and collaboration with both Premier and/or any affiliate group of the assigned entities. This position will support the assigned hospital(s) to achieve breakthroughs in cost reduction and operational, supply chain and/or clinical process improvement using consulting expertise and supported by Premier's data products and services. This position will integrate clinical, non-clinical and supply chain data to identify resource utilization opportunities that will assist in physician preference, drug and clinical supply cost reduction opportunities. This role will also collaborate with subject matter experts across Premier to leverage the clinical and operational data to drive improvement with assigned members and help facilitate knowledge transfer across the Premier portfolio of accounts.

In addition, the Region Director will be primarily responsible for working with Premier Member to develop and implement category-specific contracting strategies designed to optimize the value of Premier national contracts, Premier enhanced/custom contracts and Member local contracts. This position will support contract implementation efforts including interfacing with Member value analysis teams, identify savings opportunities, assist with product transitions, lead key initiatives and coordinate the use of Premier subject matter experts. When developing Premier enhanced/custom contracts, the Region Director will collaborate with Premier's contract negotiation team and work with suppliers to develop appropriate contract terms and conditions. The Region Director will also collaborate with other Premier field staff and Premier supply chain staff on key initiatives designed to bring greater value to other members that are in the comparable market segment and/or region.

The Region Director works in collaboration with other field Region Specialists, Premier Performance Partner staff, client services, product management, operations, new business development to ensure customer service and value provided exceeds customer expectations and will document high level of customer validated savings. Maintain product and service knowledge and technical competency in all products offered throughout Supply Chain Services. Maintain awareness and knowledge of other business groups to better serve accounts and to drive additional member engagement. Works closely with Premier Integrated Account Team to ensure coordinated account planning and maximize customer value from the Premier relationship.
