Job Description:

The Division Nephrology & CIIR, with one of the most robust sponsored research portfolios in the Department of Medicine, is looking for an innovative and knowledgeable Grants and Contracts Administrator to join a collaborative and seasoned Research Administration team, and provide leadership for two exciting educational program awards.

UVA Nephrology is committed to training future nephrologists through educational opportunities from the undergraduate level through to post-doctoral fellowships, and has received the NIH awards in support of those efforts. The ideal candidate possess a thorough knowledge of research administration (CRA preferred), the ability to "think outside the box" with flexibility and creativity, and the grace to handle the cyclical pressure inherent to the work.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: At least three years of grant and contract experience. Four additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Licensure: Certified Research Administrator (CRA) certification is preferred.
