seek a thorough, trustworthy and detail-oriented team player to
help accurately and efficiently perform our core accounts payable
and receivable functions. You'll be organized and meticulous while
communicating effectively with others in a friendly environment.
You will have a direct impact on financial reporting and analysis
so you must be comfortable with deadlines and dealing with
sensitive information. You will work closely with other members of
the Finance team, as well as maintaining clear and efficient lines
of communication with our customers and greater Internal Custom Ink
Teams, with respect to all billing and payment issues. This role
will be reporting to and receiving guidance from the Lead Customer
Payment Representative.How you'll make a difference:
- Drive complete and accurate financials to provide stakeholders
with information to make decisions
- Provide day-to-day support in a transactional work environment
while maintaining accurate records
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all vendor invoices
and fundraising funds raised for payment
- Administer critical and time-sensitive revenue, accounts
receivable, and cash transactions
- Process customer payments, handing billing related customer
service duties
- Play an integral role in month-end close, research and resolve
discrepancies, merchant chargebacks, outstanding checks
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal team members
and vendors by providing education on policies and procedures and
responding in timely and helpful manner
- Execute ad-hoc projects as assignedHow you'll be measured:To be
effective, you will need to learn quickly, take full ownership over
your responsibilities, work independently, be stellar at solving
problems, and think creatively to improve work processes.
Accordingly, the key measures of success for this position will be:
- Efficiency and accuracy of accounts payable and monthly close
processes
- Accurately applying payments and entering data into our order
and accounting systems
- Ensuring deadlines are met with respect to all duties
above
- Exercising a keen understanding of the full payment/invoice
lifecycle and how it fits in the broader system
- Effectively communicating and collaborating with internal
teamsWhat we're looking for:This role involves much collaboration
with various internal and external partners, therefore strong
communication skills and an ability to build positive relationships
is essential. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be strong in
the following areas:
- Relevant experience and/or a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or
relevant field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite. Microsoft Excel
experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to be organized, detail oriented and accurate
while meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated data-entry and keyboard proficiency
- Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical computations
quickly and accurately
- An understanding of GAAP and accrual-basis accounting a
plus
- Experience as a team lead is a plus as there are opportunities
