Job Description:
The Revenue Cycle Pre-Service Coordinator is responsible for
coordinating the pre-arrival financial clearance process for
professional and technical services which may include but not be
limited to; document and/or obtain demographics and insurance
information verify insurance benefits obtain referrals price quotes
collect and process payments financial assessment and assist with
pre-authorizations. The incumbent will serve as a liaison between
the patient referring physician and insurance payor to ensure that
all services are financially cleared prior to the date of service
and will also demonstrate the skills of effective communication
decision-making and organization to ensure efficient job
performance and job success. The Coordinator role requires
demonstration of knowledge of multiple systems complex payer
requirements and ability to communicate in a professional and
goal-directed manner with patients internal customers and
payers.
+ Obtain and revise patient demographic insurance and account
information as needed to ensure payment.
+ Assures all PCP Specialty and Out of Network Referrals are
obtained effectively and efficiently.
+ Produce an Estimate of the Patient's out of pocket liability for
both the facility and professional services.
+ Cash Collections/Financial Assessment Performs other area support
activities.
+ In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may
be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $14.20 - $22.01 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 2 years of relevant experience
Licensure: None
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of
desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some
distance to attend meetings, and programs.
