As a Lead Support Specialist at Capital One you can accomplish these things and more in one of the largest, most analytically sophisticated banks in the world.As a Lead Support Specialist you will be responsible for coordinating production support activities for all major systems and related subsystems. Your role is critical to ensuring focus, direction, and creating a controlled environment for swift resolution of High Severity Incidents. As an essential member of the team, your responsibilities involve a technical understanding of architecture and environments supported.Successful candidates will possess:

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively and clearly communicate complex scenarios to non-technical colleagues, internal stakeholders and third parties, as well as colleagues and business partners
  • Strong analytical skills to support synthesis of knowledge and information out of abstract and varying types of data points
  • A strong ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks during time critical and high pressure situations independently
  • Attention to detail and a results-driven approachResponsibilities:
    • Aid in troubleshooting problems, involving the appropriate resources and ensuring fixes are applied as quickly as possible
    • Effectively facilitate incident bridge participation
    • Communicate to executive leadership status and progress of incident bridges
    • Document and track key tasks, impacts, and progress
    • Assess priority for major incidents with support teams and senior IT/Business Leadership
    • Consult in debriefs with Problem Management
    • Supports changes and proactive monitoring -Basic Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
      • At least 5 years of experience in Information Technology with direct experience in incident response
      • At least 1 year of experience in ITIL processes
      • At least 1 year of Cloud experience -Preferred Qualifications:
        • Knowledge of the principles and practices of root cause analysis, risk management and continuous quality improvement
