Job Description:

Facilities Management (FM) supports the University of Virginia's wide range of research, academic and patient care programs. The Office of Contract Administration manages the procurement of professional services, construction managers, and contractors for the academic area, the Health System and the University's College at Wise. Our office is in the process of digitizing all exiting contracts, procurement records and support documents.Position description details that the students will be required to perform:Process documents in preparation of scanning them:Remove from physical mediaRemove all staples, paperclips, binder clips etc.Quality check on physical status of pages (ie. Making sure no tears or folds that will impact scanning)Batch scanning of documents:Run documents through scanner for duplex (if applicable) scanning at 300dpi grayscale unless color is determined to be needed on a case by case basisUpload scans to workstationQC check scans to make sure all pages came through and are clear, useable scansElectronic processing of documents:Import documents into OnBase document management systemUpon import, categorize and assign document type to all scansFill out minimum requirement of selected keywords for by document typeQC data entry and searchability of documentsAdditional TasksRe house physical materials being sent to off-site storageCreate box inventoriesCV Resume and cover letter required.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Current undergrad UVA studentExperience: NoneLicensure: NonePHYSICAL DEMANDSThis is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers and scanning.
