Facilitates effective and clear communication between non-English speaking patients their families and Health System staff.

• Conducts medical and general interpreting for limited English staff patients and their families.
• Performs a variety of administrative tasks training and education within the Health System.
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.Position Compensation Range: $19.49 - $30.21 HourlyMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: High School or equivalent required. Bridging the Gap Interpreting Course required.Experience: One year of medical interpreting experience required.Licensure: Expectation to obtain national credentialing to be recognized as a Certified Medical Interpreter guidelines found in departmental addendum located in department competency file.PHYSICAL DEMANDSJob requires frequently traveling (distance: minimum 1 mile/daily).
