$5000 sign-on bonus is availableRequirements:- Must work a 40 hour/week full-time schedule- Must work a specified shift if applicable (days, evenings, or nights; weekend rotation if required)- 24-month commitment with pro-rated repayment for early terminationThe salary range shown below reflects that of a Histotechnologist.The salary range for a Histology Technician is $22.39 - $35.82Responsible for performing histological procedures to aid in diagnosis, research and instruction.+ Prepares tissue samples for routine microscopic analysis.+ Maintains and operates laboratory equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and procedures.+ Demonstrates knowledge of quality, safety, and compliance programs.+ Investigates, documents, communicates and resolves needs, problems or complaints.+ Performs area-specific support/clinical activities.+ In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.Position Compensation Range: $26.76 - $42.82 HourlyMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Clinical education in a Histology Technician School (HT) program accredited by NAACLS or 1 year experience.Experience:1 year experience in a Histology Laboratory.Licensure: HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) or eligible. Certification within 18 months of hire.PHYSICAL DEMANDSJob requires sitting, standing for prolonged periods, frequently walking, bending/stooping; Repetitive motion: (embedding, microtomy, cover slipping). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, noise, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.The salary range reflected in this job posting is for a Histology Technician. Additional compensation is available if you are hired in as a Histotechnologist.
