Follow through with precise, accurate layout of point files in the field to support operations of the trade group per project schedule requirements.Operate Trimble Total Station Machine for field layout. Work in a support function critical to the success of the LCG Trades Field Teams and Projects.Report to BIM AdministratorKey Responsibilities:Create point files from models using design software systems such as: Revit, AutoCAD, CADmep and export these into prefabrication documentation and for input into the total station machine (TFL, IFC or CSV)Coordinate with all internal trades, general contractors, and field personnel to demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and present solutions.Operate the total station machine in an efficient manner. This includes set-up, leveling, layout, and takedown.Candidate must be able to verify trade system accuracy, layout points needed, and communicate with field teams on process and deliverables needed and are met within time frames that are scheduled.Follow LCG Trades Field Standards and Guidelines while providing constructive feedback and a demonstrating a team mentality.Maintain schedules from general contractors, field construction teams.Effectively participate on LCG Trades Team to satisfy the customer's needs.Interface with other departments to provide technical expertise in a support role.Assist the VDC/BIM team in helping create accurate detailed drawings for Foundations, Anchor Bolts, Formwork, Metal Framing, etc.Other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Must be approved to drive a company vehicle or drive a personal vehicle on behalf of the company. Based on LCG Vehicle Policy.AutoCAD/Revit experience preferred but not required. Willing to train candidates with strong potential.Understanding of and ability to accurately evaluate structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.Strong proficiency in Windows operating environment, MS Office 365, and Bluebeam.Demonstrate strong and consistent written and oral communication skills. Able to ask thoughtful questions and take a collaborative approach to problem solving.Ability to effectively communicate with people across different roles within the organization.Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment or independently, flexibility to adapt to changing needs and situations with consistent result.Demonstrate a learning orientation. Willing to pursue related educational and training opportunities with intellectual curiosity for job performance improvement on an on-going basis.Demonstrate a strong safety focus; belief that the safety and health of all employees is not just about compliance, but about ensuring that everyone makes it home safely every day.
