Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Quality Analyst to join our team in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Supplier Quality Analyst 2 is primarily responsible for supporting the Shipping Department. Inspects items to be shipped for conformity to standards, specifications and process requirements. Visually inspects items for obvious defects or damage. Confirms that shipping paperwork is complete and that all third party inspections/confirmations have been completed. The Supplier Quality Analyst 2 is also responsible for the processing of Vendor Quality Notifications for disposition. Reviews Quality Notifications issued from Receiving Inspection and Floor Inspection and communicates with Quality Engineering, Engineering, Program Management and Vendor representatives to determine path for disposition. Plans, organizes, directs and reports on all supplier quality-related activities such as raw materials, packaging materials, good manufacturing practices (GMP) service providers, as well as contract manufacturers, and/or contract manufacturing and laboratories to assure fulfillment of contract/purchase order requirements. Translates engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements. Assures that customer quality-imposed technical requirements are adhered to by supplier and that a quality system is maintained. Conducts programs designed to improve supplier performance, productivity, and process validation. Prepares, maintains and reviews procurement quality assurance procedures to assure compliance with customer and/or government requirements. Reviews and analyzes corrective action reports and purchase orders in an effort to reduce and eliminate defects. Monitors quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities, and maintains feedback loops. May administer a certified supplier program or related programs in receiving inspection. May also audit third party manufacturers, due diligence and vendor selection process. May perform deviation investigations into quality issues. MAQEABasic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and3+ years of experience in quality inspection, process analysis, process improvement or equivalent experience; or 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree. Able to collaborate in a team environment Able to provide direction to determine priorities to achieve goals Ability to make decisions that impact the organization's credibility, operations and services Able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously Able to gather, collate, or classify information Ability to change physical locations based upon need (including physical ability to travel) U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) government security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Five or more years of experience in quality inspection, process analysis, process improvement or other relevant experience Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) Experience in use of SAP Lean Six Sigma training or certification Experience in conducting Quality Audits Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
