Job Description:
Elk Hill is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated
Residential Counselor to join our dynamic team. At Elk Hill, we

and families. We provide comprehensive residential care aimed to
foster supportive, therapeutic environments for young individuals
coping with diverse challenges. As a Residential Counselor, you
will play a crucial role in implementing our therapeutic and
educational programs, providing a safe space and facilitating
personal growth and recovery. Provide direct care and supervision
to residents in accordance with their individual treatment plans.
Assist residents in daily life activities, encouraging independence
along with community and social interaction. Develop and maintain a
supportive and therapeutic environment for both residents and
staff. Document residents' progress and communicate with
therapists, teachers, and families to coordinate care plans.
Intervene in crisis situations and ensure the safety of residents
and staff through de-escalation techniques. Conduct group sessions
and one-on-one counseling. Coordinate with external partners to
facilitate educational, social, and emotional development programs
for residents. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge of therapeutic crisis intervention and child development
Proficiency in documenting case notes Empathy and resilience in
dealing with challenging behaviors Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified in
Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) preferred First Aid and CPR
certification required
