Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Salem, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,002 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Salem, Virginia, 24153! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10.5 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Must have experience in general med-surg nursing - Familiar with post-operative patients - Competent in dressing changes, wound care, and drain management Description: This position involves caring for post-operative patients. The unit has a total of 36 beds. There are 55 employees working on the unit. Staffing includes 1 Clinical Coordinator, 6 RNs, and 2 techs on the night shift. Patient ratios are 1:6. The unit uses Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs. Electronic medical records are managed using Meditech. Ideal candidates will be team players with a positive attitude. Candidates should be strong patient advocates. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential. Dress code requires navy blue/white scrubs with no hoodies, pull-overs, or t-shirts.
